Google: Google is Leasing a 464,000 Square Feet Data Center in Noida, India

Per information privy to CRE Matrix, a real estate data analytics firm, Google has leased a 43,100 square meter (464,000 square feet) data center in Noida, India from Adani. The lease is to run for ten years and it will start with an annual rate of Rs130.98 crore ($16m). The agreement has already been signed and sealed. The search engine giant will pay Rs235 ($2.86) per square foot monthly for the facility with a one percent annual increase. 

Adani and EdgeConneX teamed up in 2021 to develop data centers in India. The new company called AdaniConneX is developing a facility in Chennai, India. The company is also looking to develop data centers in Pune, Hyderabad, Noida, Mumbai, and Visakhapatnam. 

Google currently operates two GCP cloud regions in Delhi and Mumbai, India. The Mumbai region was launched in 2017 while the Delhi region was launched in 2021.
