GI Partners has completed the acquisition of a data center in Sterling, Virginia. The investment firm announced that it acquired the 22262 Cloud Plaza from Sentinel Data Centers. The companies did not reveal the terms of the deal. 22262 Cloud Plaza was first launched and fully commissioned in 2019. The 22,100 square meters (238,000 square feet) facility offers over 46MW in data center capacity.

Head of Acquisitions at GI Partners’ Real Estate and Managing Director at GI Partners, John Sheputis, said the company is happy to own one of the most densely networked data centers in the whole of North Virginia. He noted that the acquisition of the facility would help reduce the company’s overall risk while also providing great returns year in and year out.

GI Partners has 6 sites in 5 regions.
