Former T5 data center in New York put up for sale

Nov 12, 2021 | Posted by Abdul-Rahman Oladimeji

The Lincoln Property Company is offering a former T5 data center at 600 Albany Post Rd, Briarcliff Manor, New York, for sale or lease. The data center has two stories, and it has 36,000 square feet of space while sitting on 9 acres of land. The facility has a capacity of 2MW, expandable to 4MW. The data center was built in 1961, and it was renovated in 2014.

According to Lincoln Property Company, the site of the facility has been rezoned from B to CT. The rezoning allows the facility to be used as event space and conference center, research labs and BioMed facilities, medical offices, recreational and storage facilities, etc. T5 has been occupying the data center since 2014. It is unclear when the firm exited the facility. However, the COO of T5, Aaron Wangenheim, said the company chose Briarcliff Manor after Hurricane Sandy. He said the firm believes that it is one of the safest data center locations in all of New York.

T5 Data Centers has 17 sites in 19 regions.
