Flexential has announced that it is developing a data center facility outside Portland, Oregon. The development will see the company erect two new buildings in conjunction with T5. According to Flexential, the facility is located adjacent to its Hillsboro 3 data center at 5419 NE Starr Blvd. It will deliver up to 54MW of additional capacity. The data center company also noted that it would use an existing 12,800 square meter (138,000 square foot) data center to rapidly deploy its fourth facility in Hillsboro. It also plans to develop an additional building as part of the new data center campus project.
T5 also revealed that it has a long-term lease and build-to-suit project with Flexential. The company will initially provide construction and development services to deliver an 18MW, 138,000 square feet data center. Subsequently, a 36MW, 358,000 square feet data center would be made available in a fully customized, turnkey manner.
The CEO of T5 Data Centers, Pete Marin, said: “Flexential’s expansion within our Hillsboro data center campus aligns perfectly with T5’s commitment to sustainability and customer service.” He continued by saying: “T5’s Development and Construction Services team has already engaged and is working closely with Flexential to deliver 500,000 sq ft and 54MW of industry-leading quality and performance that will support the needs of their customers and our environment.”
