European fiber firm euNetworks is exiting its Amsterdam data center in the Netherlands as colocation customers have apparently been asked to vacate the data center by next year.
The news was revealed by Dirk Pol, of Dutch connectivity firm i4 Solutions, in a post on LinkedIn. “euNetworks will be shutting down its data center in Amsterdam! Customers have been asked to relocate to another data center before July 2026,” Pol wrote. “So expect a rush at the door!”
Andrew Holder, euNetworks Chief Operations Officer, told DCD: "The euNetworks lease at the Paul van Vlissingenstraat (PVV) data centre facility is approaching the end of its term. After extensive discussions, the landlord has confirmed plans to redevelop the site. As a result, euNetworks and our customers currently located there will be relocating in 2026."
"We are working in close partnership with all affected customers, who are our primary focus, to ensure a smooth and well-supported transition. Planning is underway, with comprehensive assistance, communication, and implementation efforts in progress to minimise disruption and maintain continuity of service."
