Etix Everywhere Acquires a 67% Stake In Thailand’s Genesis Data Centers

EtixEverywhere has announced that it has bought the majority interest in Genesis data center. The company revealed that it acquired a 67 percent stake in the Thai data center. The cost of the investment is pegged around AU$15.2 million (US$10.8m). Genesis operates a data center in Bang Chalong, Bangkok. However, the facility has now been renamed to ETIX Bangkok #1. The data center has 2.4MW of capacity, and it is currently in operation. According to EtixEverywhere, the ETIX Bangkok #1 facility will be the starting point for a new data center campus which it will develop in partnership with Interlink Telecom.

The Group CEO of Etix Everywhere, Louis Blanchot, said the company is happy to expand into Asia by acquiring the majority stake in Genesis. Genesis Data Center was founded in 2018 by Interlink Telecom, WHA Corp, and Advanced Information Tech. Interlink Telecom will retain a 33% stake in Genesis.

There are 76 data centers in Bangkok / Krung Thep.
