US operator EdgeConneX has filed plans to construct two 730,000-square-foot (67,820 sqm) data centers in Bastrop County, Texas. Named EDCAUS11 and EDCAUS12, the projects are planned for a 180-acre site at 6682 FM 535 in Cedar Creek, which the company acquired in November 2025. The parcel is located adjacent to AUS02, another EdgeConneX data center currently under development.
Each facility is estimated to cost around $700 million, according to documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on May 26. Construction on both projects is scheduled to begin in June, with completion targeted for December 2028. EdgeConneX’s nearby AUS02 development, located at 8001 Wolf Lane, is expected to span 578,000 square feet (54,000 sqm) across two storeys, according to filings with the same state regulator.
The facility is scheduled for completion in mid-2026 and is expected to deliver around 240MW of capacity, according to EdgeConneX’s website. Bastrop County sits just outside Austin, Texas, which hosts one of the state’s largest data center hubs. The county is also home to the upcoming Waterloo Solar project, which will supply 100% of its output to Meta once it becomes operational.
