DigitalBridge Group has announced the acquisition of Malaysian data center company AIMS DC. The company also announced that it had formed a new Edge data center platform with a focus on high-growth markets in Southeast Asia. DigitalBridge expects the acquisition deal to close in Q2 2023 following customary conditions. According to Time, the company was valued at around RM3.2 billion ($699m). 

Time dotcom is the owner of AIMS DC, and it said the deal would see it divest 49% of the ordinary shares and 100% of its irredeemable convertible preference shares in AIMS Data Centre Holding Sdn Bhd. It will also divest 21% of its ordinary shares in AIMS Data Centre (Thailand) Limited.

AIMS DC offers managed services, colocation services, and recovery solutions from three facilities in Malaysia and one in Thailand.
