Indian data center joint venture Digital Connexion, jointly owned by Digital Realty, Brookfield, and Reliance Industries, this week announced plans to invest $11 billion in developing a 1GW data center campus in Andhra Pradesh. The company is developing a 400-acre site in Visakhapatnam (aka Vizag) out to 2030.
“We are building India’s next-generation digital infrastructure through AI-native, purpose-built data centers designed for unmatched performance and scalability. With our data centers, we are unlocking new possibilities towards driving innovation, impact, and sustainable growth, and [will] be the trusted digital infrastructure provider of India,” the company said.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the company and the Andhra Pradesh government.
