The Andhra Pradesh government is set to develop a 500-acre “Data City” in Visakhapatnam, India which will be located in Madhurawada and built to replicate Hyderabad’s HITEC City.
The local government in the South Indian state has been focused on establishing the city of Visakhapatnam as a technology hub by offering modern infrastructure and high-speed Internet.
Nara Lokesh, Minister of IT, Electronics and Communications, and Human Resources Development, said: “We will prioritize the first 500 IT companies setting up in Andhra Pradesh. We are offering land at the lowest prices in the country and will ensure swift approvals.”

Google recently announced plans to establish a facility on an 80-acre site in the city, as well as having signed a Memorandum of Understanding to provide skill development programs for the local youth.
