DataVolt plans a new data center facility in Uzubekistan

New Saudi firm DataVolt has revealed plans for a new data center campus in Uzbekistan and has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Ministry of Energy, and the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to develop green data centers in Uzbekistan.

Rajit Nanda, DataVolt CEO, said, “We are excited to support the digitization of Uzbekistan with innovative and sustainable solutions. In line with Uzbekistan’s sustainability goals, we target to build data centers with the lowest carbon emissions. We believe that this project will have a positive impact on the Uzbek economy and people and help to make Uzbekistan a digital leader in the region.”

Specifications relating to this planned facility including location and timelines have not been shared. However, the company mentioned that it will develop, invest, and operate data centers on a campus that could eventually total 'several hundred megawatts.'



There are 40 data centers in Saudi Arabia.
