DataBank has announced the launch of a new data center located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The 86,000 square feet carrier-neutral MSP3 facility is located in Brooklyn Park. MSP3 is DataBank’s fourth Minneapolis data center, and it is built to Tier III standards. The first phase of the facility provides up to 1.5MW of critical load power. It can also scale to 3MW in the first data hall, potentially scaling to 9MW of critical IT load across three halls.

The company announced that it would be hosting an opening event on November 10. DataBank first started construction at the facility in November 2020. CEO of DataBank, Raul Martynek, said Minneapolis remains a fantastic location for enterprise and technology workloads for DataBank. He added that the MSP3 facility is the right location for hyperscale cloud, webscale application, and content providers looking to build a strong Edge presence in Minneapolis.
