US data center firm Centra has topped out a new facility in Reno, Nevada. "We've officially topped out RNO2, our second Reno facility and the region's first carrier-neutral interconnection data center,” the company said on LinkedIn. “This moment represents our significant progress toward delivering a 12 MVA, AI-ready facility purpose-built for the demands of modern digital infrastructure.”
Located in downtown Reno at 265 Keystone Avenue, the company broke ground on the project in November 2025. RNO2 will offer 12MW of capacity across 90,000 sq ft (8,360 sqm). Scheduled to launch in early Q2 2026, the data center will support both air and liquid cooling for high-density workloads. Its closed-loop cooling system will also incorporate free cooling during part of the year.
Centra, formerly known as Deep Edge, rebranded as it expanded its footprint across the US. The company is backed by Columbia Capital and secured $230 million in funding earlier this month. Centra also operates the meet-me room and carrier hotel at 200 S Virginia Street in Reno, which includes a data center on the first floor.
