Ascendas Reit (CapitaLand): CapitaLand To Develop a 36MW Data Center in Hyderabad, India

CapitaLand is planning to develop a new data center in Hyderabad, India. CapitaLand India Trust Management Pte. Ltd. has signed an MoU with the Telangana government to develop a data center at CapitaLand India Trust’s International Tech Park Hyderabad (ITPH). The park is located at Madhapur. The ITPH data center will have up to 36MW capacity and span 250,000 square feet of space. It will also target hyperscalers. Reports also show that the ITPH site will have a dedicated gas-insulated substation.
The company plans to invest up to Rs 1,200 Crores (S$210 million/US$154.6m) in developing the facility. The CEO of CapitaLand India Trust, Sanjeev Dasgupta, said: Chief Executive Officer, CLINT said: “This is CLINT’s second data center development project in India, following our entry into India’s data center market by acquisition of a greenfield data center development site in Navi Mumbai in 2021. CLINT will continue to strengthen our portfolio with high-quality new economy assets, with another two data center projects planned in two key markets to diversify the portfolio and create value for our shareholders.”
