India / Bhārata: CapitaLand Launches Massive Data Center in Hyderabad, India

CapitaLand Investment Limited (CLI) recently began working on its 40MW data center in Hyderabad, India. The company announced that it has started operations for the first phase of the newly redeveloped International Tech Park at the IT hub of Madhapur.
CLI hosted a ceremony celebrating the campus's Block A launch on September 20. This block has a 1.4 million sq ft building with office space, food courts, a convenience store, a gym, daycare, and other facilities.
CapitaLand India Trust (CLINT) will invest in the total redevelopment of the tech park, scheduled to be completed in phases over the next 7-10 years. Once completed, the 40MW campus will have 4.9 million square feet of office space, potentially housing over 50,000 IT and IT-enabled professionals.
Sanjeev Dasgupta, CEO of CLI India and CapitaLand India Trust, said, "Our business parks in India enjoy a strong average occupancy rate of close to 90 percent, housing over 150,000 professionals from both multinational and local companies. Besides our data center in ITPH, we have two data centers under development in Navi Mumbai and Chennai, and one being planned for at our International Tech Park Bangalore."
