Brookfield: Navi Mumbai: Brookfield acquires 30-acres of land in Navi Mumbai for data center

Brookfield Infrastructure has announced that it acquired a 30-acre land in Navi Mumbai with plans to build a data center on the site. The Company bought the land from real estate developer K Raheja Corp for Rs 600 crore ($81 million). Earlier in July, Brookfield and Digital Realty formed a joint venture for building and operating data centers in India.
The joint venture sees the two companies operate under the name ‘BAM Digital Realty.’ The companies will also have a 50:50 stake in the business while targeting Indian metros in the years to come. Besides, India is becoming a booming data center market as more data center companies are beginning to invest in the Company. Recently, Iron Mountain, NTT, STT GDC, and a host of other data center firms have announced investments in the country.
