BET Investment To Acquire Prudential's Office and Data Center Building in Pennsylvania

According to Biz Journal, BET Investments Inc. is buying Prudential Insurance Co.’s property located at 2101 Welsh Road. The 90-acre campus in Pennsylvania has three interconnected office buildings totaling 80,000 square meters (861,000 square feet). The office buildings house a Tier III certified data center and the insurance company. 

Per Prudential’s website, the company is currently migrating its data center program. It has begun moving its core infrastructure and mainframes to undisclosed facilities. Prudential says the migration process will be completed in 2023. Michael Markman, the president of BET Investments, says the company aims to market the building to other users. Besides, BET owns a 225,000 square foot office building close to the acquired property. Markman noted that it is crucial for the company to connect its properties in the area to form a fantastic development.
