AWS to begin work on its second data center campus in Hilliard, Ohio

Amazon Web Services plans to start the construction of its second data center campus in Hilliard, Ohio. The Company revealed that work would begin in the next few months. Hilliard Economic Development Director David Meadows said to BizJournals that AWS would start construction on its second data center campus in Hilliard before the year runs out.

The new data center campus would be located to the west of Columbus. It is also between Cosgray and Leppert roads. AWS acquired the site with two land deals. The first was with the city of Hilliard for $11.76 million, and the second was with the Hilliard City School District for $2.8 million.

There are 53 data centers in AWS US East (Ohio).
