AtlasEdge has started the next expansion phase of its HAM002 data center in Ahrensburg, Germany. The phase will add 3.2MW of capacity, with the four-stage project set to reach 20MW across 10,000 sqm (107,640 sq ft) when complete. The facility’s first 4.4MW phase opened in 2024 and is nearly fully leased.
AtlasEdge DACH, the German, Swiss, and Austrian division of European data center operator AtlasEdge, develops and operates facilities across 14 European locations. AtlasEdge operates eight data centers in Germany, including two in Hamburg. Its HAM001 facility is live with 4MVA of power capacity across 2,600 sqm (27,985 sq ft).
German colocation provider DatacenterOne (DC1) was founded in 2016 and acquired by AtlasEdge in 2022, bringing four data centers into the AtlasEdge portfolio. Frankfurt remains Germany’s largest data center market, followed by Berlin, Munich, and Hamburg, which is emerging as a key regional hub.
