AtlasEdge Data Centers has announced the acquisition of a data center in Leeds, UK. It bought Cornelius House from Leeds Data Centre LLP. The facility is the largest purpose-built data center in the whole of Yorkshire city. The 11,000 square feet (1,020 square meters) facility has been in operation since 2008. It also has a capacity of 400 racks. Hardy Fisher Services Ltd is the firm currently operating and managing the data center.

According to AtlasEdge, the facility will be developed into a regional aggregation hub. The company also noted an opportunity to expand the data center further to meet future demand. The CEO of AtlasEdge, Giuliano Di Vitantonio, said the company is happy to be expanding in an important location in the UK through the acquisition of the facility. Atlas has been busy in recent months. It acquired 12 data centers from Colt Data Centre Services in November 2021.
