AsiaPhos, a Singaporean clean energy company that formerly specialized in phosphate mining, could develop data centers in collaboration with the international wing of China’s largest telco, China Mobile.
The letter states that AsiaPhos will consider China Mobile International as a “top priority” supplier when it comes to developing and building the data center, and China Mobile International will “introduce potential customers… in the areas of data centers and artificial intelligence computing services projects.”
According to AsiaPhos’ website, it intends to be a “world-class leader in clean energy solutions and renewable energy development,” and it is unclear whether the company has had any prior experience with the data center industry.
