Ascenty Vinhedo 1: Ascenty opens its 14th data center in Brazil and largest in Latin America

Ascenty, the leading data center company focused on the Latin American market, opened the largest data center in Latin America in the town of Vinhedo, Brazil. The audacious project cost BRL 500 million for its first phase of construction, and features 40,000 sqm in total area and 40 MVA power capacity distributed across five buildings.

The Vinhedo data center is the company’s fourteenth unit to start operations in Brazil and is a part of Ascenty’s significant investments in the Latin American market. “The data center sector continues to grow and will be impacted by the advent of new technologies such as 5G, in addition to the need to bring data closer to end users. This will be both a challenging movement and a great opportunity to continue expanding our operations. The announcements for this mega data center in Vinhedo and our first unit in Chile are the result of a promising market and strong demand in the region,” said Pablo Campagnac, VP of New Business at Ascenty.
