Adani Group to Establish 48MW Data Center in Southern India

India's Adani Group has announced its intention to establish a 48MW data center in the southern Indian state of Telangana. Karan Adani, the son of Adani Group founder Gautam Adani and the Managing Director of Adani Ports, announced on Monday that Rs 2,500 crore ($280 million) would be invested into the facility.

It is also unclear whether the 48MW facility will be developed by the Adani Group’s own data center platform, AdaniConneX, which is a joint venture with established operator EdgeConneX.

The Adani Group is one of India’s biggest conglomerates with interests spanning multiple businesses. Like many other Indian companies, big and small, it has proven its willingness to bet big on the country’s growing appetite for AI and data centers.
