Strata Expanse is building an AI Center of Excellence on 40 acres along County Road 1A near Ironton in Lawrence County, Ohio. The modular site is designed to run on its own hydrogen, natural-gas, solar and battery power.

Strata Expanse develops land, power and cooling infrastructure for edge and AI computing under a model it calls Gray Space as a Service. It delivers the non-IT infrastructure, including behind-the-meter generation and modular buildings, and customers bring their own computing equipment. The company is headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas.
Its first project is an AI Center of Excellence on 40 acres in Lawrence County, Ohio. The site opened with a ribbon cutting in December 2025.
