Zone Frontier signed a 30-year ground lease in September 2026 for about 4,077 acres in Potter County, Texas, around an existing 345 kV substation in the Southwest Power Pool region. The lease sets aside 200 to 800 acres for data center buildings and at least 1,800 acres for solar generation and battery storage.

Zone Frontier is developing the campus with HST Technologies. Construction must start within four years under the lease.
