Operating Company

Operated by:

UltraEdge is France's first nationwide independent distributed colocation provider, created in 2024 through a carve-out of SFR's data center operations when Altice France sold 70% of the company to Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners (MSIP) for €764 million.

Corporate Structure and SFR Relationship

UltraEdge operates a portfolio of 257 data centers with more than 45MW of installed capacity and 33,000sqm of owned office space, all interconnected via SFR's countrywide fiber network. The passive infrastructure and equipment transferred to UltraEdge while servers and active equipment remained with SFR, making SFR the primary anchor tenant. This arrangement ensures business continuity while establishing UltraEdge as an independent operator.

Services and Market Position

UltraEdge specializes in edge colocation services, providing ultra-low latency connectivity for corporate clients and telecommunications operators. The company positions itself as the first scaled mover in France's edge data center market, benefiting from increasing demand for services where data storage and compute is needed closer to end users. The transaction was part of Altice France's broader debt reduction strategy to address financial pressures within the parent company.
