The Bunker in Newbury is a highly secure data center facility operated by the Cyberfort Group, located within a former military command and control center.

Site History


  • 2017: The facility became part of the Cyberfort Group following an acquisition and merger aimed at creating a comprehensive cybersecurity provider.

  • 2004: The facility was acquired and launched as a commercial high-security data center by The Bunker Secure Hosting.

  • 1997: The Greenham Common site was passed into private ownership (Greenham Business Park).

  • 1992–1993: The US Air Force left the base, and it was handed back to the Ministry of Defence (MoD) before being decommissioned.

  • 1980–1985: Originally built as Building 274, the facility served as the 501st Tactical Missile Wing Command Post for the US Air Force at Greenham Common. It was designed to manage the launch of Ground Launched Cruise Missiles (GLCM).
