Latvia's Tet formally opens data center in Riga

Latvian telco Tet has officially launched the first phase of its new €30 million ($34.9m) data center, DC7, located in Salaspils, just south of Riga. Marking Tet’s seventh data center facility, DC7 offers advanced colocation services alongside cloud solutions via Tet Cloud, and will eventually become the company's largest facility by rack count.
The initial 840 sqm (9,041 sq ft) phase is now operational, delivering the first 112 racks. Construction is underway to add the remaining 112 racks, bringing the facility's total capacity to 224 racks upon full build-out.

In 2021, Latvian telco Tet formally opened its sixth data center in Riga after expanding capacity by 60 racks. At that time, it was the only Uptime Institute-certified Tier III data center in Latvia.

Tet is a Latvian Teleco provider. As of 2021, 51% of Tet shares are owned by the Latvian government, but the remaining 49% - by the Scandinavian company Telia Company. Tet in turn owns 23% of the Latvian mobile operator's LMT shares.
In 2021, the company was rebranded from Lattelecom to Tet.
