Latvia's Tet formally opens data center in Riga

Latvian telco Tet is investing €30 million ($33.2m) in developing a new data center in Salaspils, to the south of the capital city Riga. The new project in Salaspils is Tet's seventh data center, offering colocation services as well as cloud services through Tet Cloud.
The first phase of construction plans to build 112 racks by the third quarter of 2026. The second phase plans to build an additional 112 racks by the end of 2028.

In 2021, Latvian telco Tet formally opened its sixth data center in Riga after expanding capacity by 60 racks. At that time, it was the only Uptime Institute-certified Tier III data center in Latvia.

Tet is a Latvian Teleco provider. As of 2021, 51% of Tet shares are owned by the Latvian government, but the remaining 49% - by the Scandinavian company Telia Company. Tet in turn owns 23% of the Latvian mobile operator's LMT shares.
In 2021, the company was rebranded from Lattelecom to Tet.
