Quantica Infrastructure, a new company that provides land and power for data centers, is planning to build a 5,000-acre energy and digital infrastructure campus near Billings, Montana.
Dubbed the "Big Sky Campus," the project will initially offer 500 MW of renewable power and battery storage, with the potential to expand to 1 GW. Construction is set to begin in 2026.
NorthWestern Energy Group will provide energy services for the campus. The initial electric service for the first phase is expected to begin as early as 2026, with the load reaching 500 MW by 2030.
