New Era Energy & Digital has acquired a 3,500-acre site in Lea County, New Mexico, to develop a massive AI-ready data center campus. The initial phase, powered by a 2 GW on-site natural gas plant, is expected to deliver its first power by 2028. The campus will then expand incrementally to its eventual 7 GW capacity, utilizing a mix of gas and nuclear generation. New Era plans to offer both powered-shell halls and turnkey land leases to hyperscale and AI tenants.
