Meta opened the first part of its data center in Los Lunas in February 2019. Since then the company has invested nearly $2 billion into building a total of eight buildings on the campus. Upon the opening of the seventh and eighth building, Facebook's campus will double its local workforce from 200 to 400 and stretch its size to nearly 3.8 million square feet.

  • The first section of the campus consists of 6 buildings designed in 3 separate “H” footprints, and was completed in 2021. Meta is currently working on the campus’ second phase of construction.
