Rolls-Royce has announced that it has installed and commissioned eight mtu emergency gensets with 9.2MWe power output at a major bank in Madrid. The installation was made to secure power supply in case of a public power grid failure in the region.
Rolls-Royce will ensure power supply is secured should the public power grid fail.

In total, there are two types of mtu-brand diesel generator sets: four mtu 12-cylinder 4000 DS1650 units, with 1,425MWe power output, and four 16-cylinder mtu 2000 DS1100 units, each with 880 MWe power output.

Speaking about the installation, Pablo Vivancos, head of mtu-product sales at Rolls-Royce's, Rolls-Royce's Spanish subsidiary, said: "For the customer, the reliability of the power supply takes precedence. That's why they opted for the mtu brand."
