Karatzis: Kastro, Greece

Site planned for 2029 and has expansions through 2033

The Karatzis Group is advancing a massive €240 million data center development at the Ampelia site in Kastro, located within the Municipality of Orchomenos in Boeotia, Greece.

Situated on a sprawling 342,465-square-meter site along the PATHE motorway, the highly interconnected campus will feature seven distinct data center buildings. To ensure an efficient and structured rollout, the project will be executed in three distinct chronological stages over an 18-month period. The initial stage, spanning months 1 to 8, focuses on intensive excavation, foundation works, and comprehensive site preparation. This will be followed by a second phase from months 9 to 16 centering on erecting the physical building structures and installing core supporting infrastructure. The final stage, taking place in months 17 and 18, will be entirely dedicated to the installation of electromechanical and IT equipment, system integration, and final trial operations to guarantee full operational readiness.
