Edgnex has announced plans to develop a 12.5MW data center in Athens, Greece. The Attica facility will be built in a joint venture - dubbed Data In Scale - between Edgnex’s parent company Damac and electricity utility PPC Group.

“By leveraging Edgnex’s expertise in delivering reliable and agile infrastructure and DAMAC’s proven capabilities in large-scale developments, we are building a future-ready facility to empower businesses with secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions,” said Hussain Sajwani, Founder of Damac.

Georgios Stassis, PPC group chairman and CEO, added: “By merging PPC’s energy expertise with Damac’s global leadership in data center development, we are building infrastructure that will empower businesses, drive Greece’s digital transformation, and position the country as a pivotal player in Southeast Europe’s ecosystem.”

There are 23 data centers in Greece.
