Japan Display Inc. (JDI) plans to convert its Mobara Plant, a display manufacturing site located east of Tokyo in Mobara City, into an AI data center. JDI intends to cease display production at the facility by March 2026.

The existing plant spans 368,960 square meters (3.97 million sq ft), including 178,020 square meters (1.9 million sq ft) of clean rooms. The Mobara Plant currently has over 100MW of available power, with potential for expansion.
