Data center infrastructure firm, Hive Digital, is planning another expansion at its Yguazú site in Paraguay. Construction is expected to begin in early 2026, with full commissioning anticipated in Q3 of 2026. This expansion aims to increase Hive’s global Bitcoin target to 35 Exahash per second by 2026.
The Yguazú site is powered by local hydroelectricity sourced from the nearby Itaipú Dam in Paraguay. The firm acquired the Yguazú site, which was still under development, from Bitfarms in January 2025 for $56 million.
