Green Energy Partners, a US data center and energy developer, is developing a massive campus featuring 19 data centers across 3 million square feet in Surry, Virginia. The $6.45 billion project includes innovative plans to power the facilities using nuclear reactors, which will also produce green hydrogen for data center backup power.

The development, scheduled for completion by 2036, promises to transform the rural county of 6,500 residents by creating more than 1,300 permanent jobs, with half of these positions offering six-figure salaries. The project will be built out over a 13-year period.
