Sites on this Campus:

Gray Wolf's Amston 1 Data Center will leverage behind-the-meter power, operating independently of the electrical grid. This will be achieved through on-site natural gas-powered solid oxide fuel cells or linear generators, for which the necessary state regulatory approvals have already been secured.

These sustainable technologies are designed to transition to biofuel, renewable natural gas, or hydrogen when available, though such fuels are not currently accessible in Connecticut. Classified as Class 1 Renewable, this approach will address the region’s constrained grid, with no plans for grid connection upon completion.

Power

  • IT Workload: Up to 200kW per Cabinet
  • Utilities: Dual-fuel utility feeds from electric grid + on-site electric generation
  • Generators: N+1 (natural gas powered linear generators)
  • Uptime: 99.999% uptime SLA
  • Fuel: NG-pipeline connection
  • UPS/PDU/RPP: N+1 ; optional configurations available
  • Mechanical: N+1 redundancy including power sources

Interconnection

  • Internet Connectivity: Enterprise-class, multiple Tier-1 providers
  • Managed IT Services: Managed security, DRaaS, SAN, & Object Storage, & Remote Hands
  • Cloud Connectivity: Direct connect to leading cloud service providers
  • Peering Exchange: Any2Exchange® for Internet peering
  • Diversity: Diverse POEs, MDFs and IDFs
  • Cross Connects: Dedicated, physical connections
  • Enterprise Internet: Blended IP, 10Mbps to 400Gbps
