Short Code: GEE01
Site planned for 2027 and has expansions through 2030

Situated in the Bell Bay Industrial Precinct, the Firmus George Town AI Campus (also designated as Project GEE01 or the Long Reach Data Centre) is a proposed high-density computing development under the broader Project Southgate initiative.

Located on the cleared platform of the former proposed Gunns Pulp Mill site within the George Town municipality, the project encompasses two dedicated data hall buildings, an administrative office, and maintenance facilities. Purpose-built for advanced AI training and inference, the campus takes advantage of existing industrial grid infrastructure, including three 220kV TasNetworks transmission lines traversing the land, and utilizes energy-efficient direct-to-chip liquid cooling designed to operate predominantly in dry mode to minimize water consumption.
