Fibernet MercuryDelta, LLC has successfully requested the rezoning of 1,143.8 acres at approximately 4500 E & HWY 50 Delta, changing its designation from Agriculture 20 (Ag-20) to Heavy Industrial (HI). This paves the way for a potential 20 million sq ft data center campus, which would leverage the nearby 1.9GW IPP plant. Both the Millard County Commission and the planning commission (in May 2025) recommended the rezoning.
