ecogrid.energy: Raisio

ecogrid.energy is a founder-led Finnish company based in Pori and established in 2025. Its founder and executive director, Seppo Ihalainen, earlier founded Ficolo, which built an underground data centre in Pori. Antti Hänninen is CEO.

The company designs energy parks for data centres. Each park combines renewable grid supply with on-site reserve and balancing generation and energy storage, and sends waste heat to the local district heating network. ecogrid.energy also develops EMOP, an energy management platform that links data centre infrastructure to the Nord Pool electricity market and passes grid curtailment signals to the site operator. It has a subsidiary in Singapore that serves Southeast Asia.

ecogrid.energy History:

• In September 2026, the city of Lahti granted a building permit for the Kujala data centre that ecogrid.energy designed for Peab.
• In December 2025, ASP DC acquired the Pori energy park project, with ecogrid.energy responsible for power and grid balancing.
• In December 2025, the city of Raisio approved a planning reservation with CompassForge Ventures for the Itä-Somersoja data centre project, known as Ecogrid Raisio.
• In January 2025, CompassForge Ventures, ecogrid.energy and NCC announced the Ecogrid Energy Park in the Kupariteollisuuspuisto industrial area of Pori.
• Founded in January 2025 in Pori.
