Echelon Data Centres has been granted planning permission for another data center development in Arklow, Ireland. Wicklow County Council granted conditional planning permission for the company’s DUB30 data center on the Kish Business Park in 2021.

  • Echelon will demolish existing outbuildings on the site and build three 22,210 sqm (293,000 sq ft) data center buildings on the 24.16-hectare site on the North end of the Park.
  • The company already has another data center - the 100MW DUB20 facility - in development close by in Arklow’s Avoca River Park.
  • Together, the two developments represent a potential €1 billion ($1.2 billion) investment in Arklow and will create more than 1,000 jobs locally in construction and in the operation of the data centers.
