DataBank Plano DFW3: DataBank to expand Plano data center

DataBank has announced that it is expanding its presence in Dallas, Texas, with the addition of two data halls to its Plano facility. This adds 22,000 sqft of space and a capacity of 3MW. 

According to the company, the two data halls (Data Halls 5 and 6) are expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2022. The facility, in total, is designed with six data halls in mind spanning 144,000 sqft of facility space, expandable up to 72,000sqft, with a capacity of 40MW of total power. Its third hall opened back in July.



Commenting on this expansion, Tony Qorri, VP of Construction at DataBank, said: “This expansion is the fourth and fifth data halls to be added to our DFW3.”

Adding: “DataBank remains focused on providing enterprise-class colocation, interconnection, and managed cloud services. By continuing to grow our capabilities in a technology-concentrated business area of Dallas, we can adhere to the growing demand of more enterprise-class data centers.”
