This project utilizes industrial land at the port as part of an ongoing agreement between Core Scientific and the Muskogee City-County Port Authority.

The project has roots in an earlier announcement: In April 2022, the Muskogee City-County Port Authority first revealed a partnership with Core Scientific to develop a 500-megawatt blockchain and cryptocurrency mining data center at the port.
