Comcast is transforming a former TD Bank building in New Jersey into a small data center. The property, which sits on just over an acre, will house computer servers and equipment. The single-story building, originally constructed around 1975 and last renovated in 2017, has been vacant for nearly a decade.
To convert the 2,170-square-foot space, Comcast will install two generators and remove the old drive-through lanes. The new data center will not be constantly staffed.

The New Jersey facility is located in Bridgewater, NJ, just 40 miles west of New York City along the fiber-rich “Magic Mile.” The 25,565-square-foot data center offers 2.3MW of capacity.
