Carpere Valley project

Carpere Canada, through Carpere Valley Development Corporation, is transforming the 150-acre former Valley View Centre site into an "AI wellness town." The project, acquired in 2020, will feature an on-site data center that will use its waste heat to warm a nearby greenhouse.

This $485 million redevelopment aims to create "the fastest-growing tech hub in the world" from the former care facility.

The Valley View Centre, which closed in 2019 after 60 years as an institution for individuals with intellectual disabilities, will see all its existing buildings (over 29,430 square meters or 327,000 square feet) renovated, with new facilities also being built. The initial phase of construction is set to begin in late 2025 or early 2026 and will take five to eight years to finish.
