Bess Solutions: Närpes

Year Planned: 2028
Lot Size: 31 acres

The planned data center in Närpes is a multi-billion-dollar infrastructure project designed to transform the local economy of the Finnish west coast. Spearheaded by Bess Solutions Finland Oy, the facility will be located on a 12.6-hectare site in the village of Pirttikylä, specifically chosen for its proximity to a major regional substation.

Developed in partnership with an undisclosed US-listed tech giant, the campus is specifically optimized for Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads and will integrate advanced battery storage systems to utilize the region's abundant wind energy. Construction is slated to begin in the fall of 2026, with the project expected to create over 50 permanent jobs once it becomes operational in early 2028.
