The Hawkins Academy Data Center Campus in Social Circle, Georgia, was approved on November 6, 2025, when the City Council overrode a Planning Commission rejection with a 2-1 vote. This granted the necessary permits to rezone the agricultural land to light industrial, despite initial community opposition. Led by WSG Land, LLC and Atlas Development, the 150-acre project will cover about 1.5 million square feet. Although initially proposed as three two-story buildings, final approval restricts them to a single story.

The identity of the confirmed end-user is confidential. Developers must break ground and show significant progress by November 2028; otherwise, the zoning will revert to agricultural, canceling the project. This facility is part of a growing tech corridor east of Atlanta, joining an existing Meta data center and other emerging digital infrastructure projects in the area.
