ARSAT, Argentina's state-owned telecom, has launched a $17 million public tender to significantly expand its Benavidez data center in Buenos Aires.
The contract covers the design, construction, equipment, and commissioning of a new Tier III data room ("Room IV") and a 50% expansion of the high-security AMS chest room.
Room IV will feature a total IT load of 620kW and will include 24 racks at 15kW, 8 racks at 10kW, and 45 racks between 4−8kW, all utilizing cold aisle containment. The project has a maximum completion timeline of 24 months.
