Amazing Web Services' Swindon facility was previously occupied by Hewlett Packard. HP had operated two data centers on the site from the 1990s up until 2020, when the facilities were decommissioned.
AWS demolished the two existing data center buildings and replaced them with a single data center building equipped with N+1 power redundancy.
